Hello Everyone,

In this post, I will demonstrate how to create azure migrate assessment. To create the assessment, first you must install and configure the azure migrate appliance. please refer here for the tutorial on installing the azure migrate appliance

  • To create the assessment, navigate to Azure Migrate project on portal then click on Assess.
Asses discovered VMs
  • Next on create assessment page, choose Azure VM for assessment type and Server discovered from Azure Migrate appliance for discovery source.
  • Next, Edit the assessment criteria as per your preferences then click next.

  • Next on Select server to access tab, Fill in assessment name, create or use existing group, if use existing then choose group then click next
  • Review the assessment setting then create assessment. Wait the assessment creation complete.
  • Once the assessment is ready, click on the assessment to view the report.
  • Click on Azure readiness to view the list of server that ready to migrate to Azure.
  • Click on Cost readiness to view monthly compute cost estimated and monthly storage cost estimated.

To export the assessment, click the assessment on the top of the report. You also can recalculate the assessment, edit the properties, adding the columns and delete assessment.
